For two months, I joined the “Optical Sensors and Intelligent Integrated Systems” team at LAAS-CNRS. My collaboration with researcher Olivier Bernal was part of an art-science residency under the project name CONNECTS 2.
The goal of the residency was to convey their research through my practice as a visual artist.
The PICSONDE project (Photonic Integrated Circuit with System on Chip for SubPicometric Displacement Sensor – ANR-20-CE42-0010) focuses on developing sensors aimed at predicting obsolescence and detecting faults in machines through integrated photonic sensors. This involves using a laser diode that serves simultaneously as a light source, an interferometer, and a detector.
